We decided to potty train cooper once and for all over Christmas break! the decision was made when we ran out of diapers and Scott and i BOTH didn't feel like leaving the warm cozy house to buy any more... and with the baby coming the last thing we need is 2 kids in diapers! so it began! having Scott here to tag team the potty training was really nice because I've never potty trained while being pregnant. which getting up and down is starting to get hard for me! he did really really well with hardly any accidents the 2 first weeks. then once school started and the routine began ... all the sudden number 2 wasn't happening anymore ... where it should! so today after trying many many things, and millions of trips to the potty and going commando so there is no where else for it to go ... i decided to try a bribe! he LOVES star wars and light sabers so i decided to let him choose his favorite one and if he goes potty he could earn his toy! so i let him walk the isles and pick JUST THE RIGHT ONE! and within 3 hours of brining it home... cooper took it upon himself to go to the potty and go ALL BY HIMSELF! without me asking him to try! the other kids of course helped me make a big huge deal of it and he was so excited! the rule is ... he has to continue to go on the potty or the light saber goes back up on display on the fridge and he can't play with it! and with the fun him and his brother have been having i hope we don't have to worry about that! the light saber came with a DVD of light saber fights and they got right to acting them out! haha kick flips, tricks, saying the lines, falling down and all ...
