Can someone explain to me ... what the HECK these are for??? leaving a comment, purchasing something on a web site, etc. what does this protect ?? or keep hackers from doing?? haha all i see it as is a PAIN...and annoying...haha.... if you know please leave me a comment and clue me in! haha! good times!

i hear ya my friend! Some smart people have learned how make them not appear on their blog comments but i am not one of the smart ones!Although for us dumb people it is kinda entertaining to see what the word is my favorite was dampig!Happened right after the swine flu. AWESOME!

k. brett was just telling me a reason for those. he may have been pulling my leg, you never know with brett. i thought it had something to do with a computer's automated system for scanning words into the computer. the computer can't always read what is written so someone figured out a way to get a human to figure it out for the computer. cool, huh, if it's true.
